Special features:

  • Audio commentary by director Alan Parker
  • Theatrical trailer
  • Photo gallery at the end of side 2.

This disc was cancelled just after the initial pressing due to a rights dispute (also why the DTS version [ML106533] was never completed). This is the only version containing the Alan Parker commentary, as it was omitted from the later DVD releases.

The AC-3 soundtrack seems to have more dynamics and deeper bass than the one included on the standard or deluxe DVD versions.

Additional Information by retrodude (2)   11/10/2022

Comparing this release with the Blu-ray edition from Spain and the DVD edition from the US, this release does have much more aggressive bass on the Dolby Digital track; however in very loud sections (select portions of songs and the wall at the end exploding) the audio peaks and crackles some.

This is not a DD decoding error or an issue stemming from playing the audio back incorrectly (having the track ripped and isolating each track tells me this much), as this occurs on the Dolby Surround track as well.
